Carles Ferrer

 

Prof. Dr. Carles Ferrer is Chief Science Officer and AEInnova’s cofounder. He holds a PhD on Computer Science – specialty Microelectronics and B.Sc.and M:Sc. on Physical Science both from Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He is full professor since 2007 and he was associate professor from 1989 until 2007 at the Microelectronics and Electronics Systems Department of the same University and he is associate researcher at the Microelectronics National Center, IMB-CNM from the Spanish High Council for Scientific Research State Agency located in the same campus. He was member in the management committee of the EU Cost Action IC1024 TRUDEVICE on Trustworthy Manufacturing. He is also leading the integrated circuit and systems design group (DCSI) at UAB and his main areas of research are analogue-digital ROIC sensors interface design and control and communication circuit development with SoC/MPSoC architectures for micro-instrumentation development applied to several areas of like industrial, transportation, biomedicine, aerospace, defence, security including navigation and positioning aspects. These activities have been realized in collaboration with the IMB-CNM (CSIC) and AEInnova participating as IP in more of 30 National and European projects H2020, 7FPM, ENIAC, ARTEMIS, etc. and European contracts with ESA, EDA. and LIFE.
